Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the tower's mechanical design and create robust layout models. You will collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure geometrical integration and efficient component reuse across projects.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, extensive CAD/PLM tool experience, and at least 5 years in a similar position, with advanced English (C1).

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• CAD/PLM expertise with major tools.
• Experience handling large assemblies and configuration management.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Advanced English (C1).
• Spanish degree recognition for foreign qualifications when applying.

Responsibilities

• Drive mechanical design for the Tower.
• Define design space models for components and integrate tower layouts.
• Collaborate with Nordex and external suppliers to analyze designs.
• Support other departments to integrate components in the tower layout.
• Create layout designs meeting geometrical requirements from Product Management, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Service and HSE.
• Identify synergies across projects to reuse parts and reduce complexity and cost.
• Determine the scope of new design based on Engineering Change Request.
