Motherson Group is seeking a Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies for CAPEX at our Barcelona COE. The role focuses on leading supplier panels, negotiations, and performance management to achieve cost reductions and KPIs.

Responsibilities include qualifying new suppliers, monitoring performance, and driving competitive supplier terms. Fluent English is required; Spanish is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment (ideally automotive).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and data-driven orientation.
• Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferred).
• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office.

• Lead commodity strategy and structure supplier panel
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to onboard if required to support commodity strategies
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective action if required
• Responsible for achieving assigned cost reduction goals and other KPIs
• Lead supplier RFQ and nomination process, negotiate all necessary purchasing contracts
• Identify innovation capabilities of suppliers and pursue technology advancements
• Negotiate payment terms to achieve financial objectives
• Support acquisition process and drive competitiveness on T&E investments

Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies for CAPEX. T&E Commodity Buyer leads the sourcing process, completes supplier negotiations, manages the supplier panel & ensures supplier performance.
