Valeo in Martos, Spain, is seeking a Test & Validation Design Leader to drive Design Validation & Review (DV&R) across projects from RFQ to final validation. You will lead validation activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure product conformity and robustness in a multicultural, international setting.

The role requires 3–7 years of embedded product testing, project validation experience, and an advanced English skill set, with a strong passion for automotive engineering.

• Master in engineering (embedded electronics, mechanics, software, optical system)
• 3 to 7 years in testing of embedded product (functional and/or environmental) and experience in project development/validation management
• Advanced level of English
• Passion for the automotive industry

Responsabilidades

• Define the product test strategy based on Customer and Valeo standards specifications and risk analysis (PCA, PHA, DFMEA, R&D Metiers Fix-Variable-Specific analysis).
• Support the project team for compatibility matrix & risk analysis, with contribution of the product family validation standard owner up from the project acquisition phase.
• Document Design Validation plan including environmental validation test plan and functional validation test plan with the product architect, based on defined test strategy.
• Plan quotate at CAA with the R&D Project Team Member all necessary actions to run the Design Validation as: number of parts, jigs, subcomponents, headcount, test bench costs (characterization, reliability), potential external test costs.
• Coordinate all product integrations and validation activities (regulations, functional, system, optics, mechanics, EE tests including EMC, craftsmanship, vehicle tests)
• Secure reports archiving in TMT and report issues at the first level of analysis and progress through Design Validation & Review dashboard (KPIs).
• Release the DV&R with validation status to be approved by the Test & Validation Manager and provide the design validation & review report to the R&D PTM.

Your Role

As a Test & Validation Design Leader in Valeo Martos, you will have the opportunity to work with the most powerful carmaker companies in the electronics development working in an international and multicultural environment.

Mission

The test & validation leader is responsible to build the Design Validation & review (DV&R), to conduct overall product test and validation activities (including electronic contents) within R&D team, all along the project, from RFQ phase to last validation phases. Also to ensure product conformity and robustness.

Your Responsibilities

• Define the product test strategy based on Customer and Valeo standards specifications and risk analysis (PCA, PHA, DFMEA, R&D Metiers Fix-Variable-Specific analysis).
• Support the project team for compatibility matrix & risk analysis, with contribution of the product family validation standard owner up from the project acquisition phase.
• Documents Design Validation plan including environmental validation test plan and functional validation test plan with the product architect, based on defined test strategy.
• Plan "quotate at CAA (Contract Application Approval) with the R&D Project Team Member all necessary actions to run the Design Validation as: number of parts, jiggs, subcomponents, headcount, test bench costs (characterization, reliability), potential external test costs.
• Secure that validation conditions & planning feasibility are within project commitments:
• Validation data (technical and system requirements, simulation reports, technical inputs for testing…) to be supplied by the product architect and metier design leaders
• Labs means availability (tests equipment, mission profiles, skills, certified suppliers for sub contracting tests)
• State that test prerequisites checklist are documented with part level maturity at each DV step.
• Coordinates all product integrations and validation activities (regulations, functional, system, optics, mechanics, EE tests including EMC, craftsmanship, vehicle tests), whatever the laboratory involved, whatever if managed internally or externally to supply the validation deliverables.
• Secure reports archiving in TMT.
• Report issues at the first level of analysis and progress through Design Validation & Review dashboard (KPIs).
• Reports project validation risks assessment to the R&D PTM in Design Validation phase.
• Responsible of RAISE Validation metier review management.
• Capitalize on product risks and reports all capitalization data to the product family Test & Validation standard owner.
• Release the DV&R with validation status to be approved by the Test & Validation Manager and provide the design validation & review report to the R&D PTM.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Master in engineering (general technical engineering knowledge: embedded electronics, mechanics, software, optical system )
• Experience: 3 to 7 years in testing of embedded product (functional and/or Environmental) and experience in project development/validation management required
• Advanced level of English
• Passion for the automotive industry.
