Werfen is seeking a Test Chapter Leader / Test Manager for the MODULAB project, a hybrid role blending people leadership with software test management. You will guide a chapter of Software Test Engineers, set testing strategies and standards, and ensure high-quality clinical software across the lifecycle, partnering with engineers, solution leads, and affiliates to deliver reliable solutions.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading software testing activities in Agile teams.
• Proven people management or technical leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of verification and validation methodologies.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools.
• Experience in regulated industries (Medical Devices/Diagnostics/Healthcare) is a plus.
• Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Join the MODULAB project, Werfen's Laboratory Information System (LIS), which supports laboratories in managing clinical workflows, laboratory operations and diagnostic information. MODULAB is developed by Agile Squads working together to deliver reliable and high quality software solutions for healthcare professionals.

This is a hybrid role combining People Leadership with Software Test Management.

As a Test Chapter Leader / Test Manager, you will lead and develop a chapter of Software Test Engineers by providing technical leadership, supporting the professional growth of your team members, establishing testing strategies, standards, and best practices, and fostering collaboration across Agile Squads.

In addition, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of verification and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with Software Engineers, Solution Leaders, Affiliates and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical software.

You will contribute to product delivery within a multidisciplinary Squad by defining test strategies, coordinating testing activities, managing quality risks, supporting release readiness, and collaborating closely with Software Engineers, Solution Leaders, Affiliates, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical software. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical leadership, quality ownership, and people management while contributing to one of Werfen's strategic digital solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Inspire and grow a team of high‑performing employees through peer coaching and mentoring.

• Participate in solving complex problems that require the highest competency level as an expert or organizer of the necessary consultations with other experts.

• Advocate and advance chapter standards and best practices in collaboration with another chapter leads and chapters.

• Hands‑on contributor in his/her squad to all aspects of the product delivery cycle, according to the Job Description from the Technological Track.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and quality management processes.

• Continuously improve testing methodologies, automation capabilities, and quality metrics.

What you'll bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience leading/managing software testing activities within Agile software development teams.

• Previous people management or technical leadership experience.

• Strong knowledge of software verification and validation methodologies.

• Experience with defect management and test management tools.

• Experience working within regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or other quality regulated environments is highly desirable.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle, continuous integration, and Agile methodologies.

• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
