Welocalize is seeking a native-level Telugu speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme. This on-site role involves evaluating a pre-release AI model in Telugu and testing its performance on a client-supplied device.

You will work in Welocalize offices, follow a detailed test script, report issues clearly in English, and help ensure the software handles Telugu language with accuracy, naturalness, and proper localization.

Qualificações

• Native-level Telugu, written and spoken, with day-to-day usage.
• Comfort with iOS and Android on a smartphone and laptop.
• Detail-oriented with objective judgement in quality assessments.
• Ability to work independently, follow test scripts, and explain issues in English.
• Experience in software/app testing or localization QA is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Review pre-release AI model output in Telugu for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and quality.
• Test Telugu vs English parity, handle non-Latin scripts and mixed-language input.
• Identify display issues and localization errors (dates, currency, strings).
• Document reproducible issues with steps, device, locale, and build ID; re-test after fixes.
• Work on-site in the Welocalize office; remote work is not allowed; support other linguistic projects as needed.

Welocalize is looking for a native-level Telugu speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme for a major global technology and communications client.

It’s a hands-on, on-site role that combines two things: evaluating a pre-release AI model in your language, and testing how the product actually performs on a client-supplied device — a smartphone and a next-generation smart glass. If you enjoy noticing the detail other people miss, this is work you’ll find satisfying.

Welocalize is looking for a native-level Telugu speaker to join a large-scale AI and consumer technology programme.

It’s a hands-on, on-site role that combines two things: evaluating a pre-release AI model in your language, and testing how it performs on a real device. You’ll be among the first people to see this technology in Telugu , and your judgement shapes how well it works before anyone else uses it.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review pre-release AI model output in Telugu and judge it on accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality — would a native speaker really say it this way? This includes fact-checking each response against the source material.
• Test the Telugu experience against the English one: confirm feature parity, complete a full user journey using non-English input, and check the product handles non-Latin script, diacritics, right-to-left text, and mixed-language input correctly.
• Spot any display problem (text cut off, overflowing, or rendering badly) and any localization error — a wrong date, number, currency, unit, or a string left untranslated.
• Write up each issue clearly so a developer can reproduce it: the step taken, the device and operating system, the locale, the build ID, and supporting evidence. Re-test once a fix lands to confirm it’s resolved.Share your perspective as a native-level speaker on navigation, usability, and the language-specific nuance only a fluent speaker would catch.
• Work on-site in a private, secure area of the Welocalize office. Because of the confidential, pre-release nature of the technology, a remote or work-from-home arrangement isn’t possible for this programme.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Native-level or fully bilingual Telugu , written and spoken, with a current feel for how the language is really used day-to-day — every day and technical.
• Confidence with a smartphone and a laptop, and comfort moving between iOS and Android.
• A sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality.
• The ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and guideline, and explain an issue clearly in English.
• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus — though not essential if you bring the language skill and the attention to detail.
