Welocalize is seeking a native-level Tagalog speaker for a confidential, on-site AI and consumer technology programme. The role combines evaluating pre-release AI model outputs in Tagalog with testing how the product performs on client devices, ensuring accuracy, naturalness, and locale appropriateness.

You will compare Tagalog and English experiences, check non-Latin scripts and mixed-language input, and document issues with clear steps for developers.

Formación

• Native-level Tagalog, written and spoken, with daily use and technical language
• Sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality
• Ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and explain issues in English

Responsabilidades

• Review pre-release AI model output in Tagalog and judge it on accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality; fact-check against source material
• Test Tagalog experience against English parity; complete full user journey with non-English input and handle non-Latin script, diacritics, RTL, and mixed-language input
• Spot display or localization errors such as wrong dates, currency, or untranslated strings and report clearly with reproducible steps
• Write up issues with steps, device, locale, build ID and evidence; re-test after fixes
• Share insights on navigation and language nuance from a native perspective
• Work on-site in a private, secure Welocalize office area; remote work is not possible for this programme
• Support other linguistic projects as needed

Welocalize is looking for a native-level Tagalog speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme for a major global technology and communications client.

It’s a hands-on, on-site role that combines two things: evaluating a pre-release AI model in your language, and testing how the product actually performs on a client‑supplied device — a smartphone and a next‑generation smart glass. If you enjoy noticing the detail other people miss, this is work you’ll find satisfying.

Welocalize is looking for a native-level Tagalog speaker to join a large-scale AI and consumer technology programme.

It’s a hands‑on, on‑site role that combines two things: evaluating a pre-release AI model in your language, and testing how it performs on a real device. You’ll be among the first people to see this technology in Tagalog, and your judgement shapes how well it works before anyone else uses it.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review pre-release AI model output in Tagalog and judge it on accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality — would a native speaker really say it this way? This includes fact-checking each response against the source material.
• Test the Tagalog experience against the English one: confirm feature parity, complete a full user journey using non‑English input, and check the product handles non‑Latin script, diacritics, right‑to‑left text, and mixed‑language input correctly.
• Spot any display problem (text cut off, overflowing, or rendering badly) and any localization error — a wrong date, number, currency, unit, or a string left untranslated.
• Write up each issue clearly so a developer can reproduce it: the step taken, the device and operating system, the locale, the build ID, and supporting evidence. Re-test once a fix lands to confirm it’s resolved.
• Share your perspective as a native-level speaker on navigation, usability, and the language‑specific nuance only a fluent speaker would catch.
• Work on‑site in a private, secure area of the Welocalize office. Because of the confidential, pre‑release nature of the technology, a remote or work‑from‑home arrangement isn’t possible for this programme.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Native-level or fully bilingual Tagalog, written and spoken, with a current feel for how the language is really used day‑to‑day — every day and technical.
• Confidence with a smartphone and a laptop, and comfort moving between iOS and Android.
• A sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality.
• The ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and guideline, and explain an issue clearly in English.
• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus — though not essential if you bring the language skill and the attention to detail.
