Job summary

Roquette is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Technician to join the EHS team at the Alcobendas plant in Madrid. You will support the EHS Manager to promote a strong safety culture, identify risks, deliver training and ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Ideal candidates have higher education in Occupational Risk Prevention, a Master’s in the field, and at least two years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Requires higher education in Occupational Risk Prevention, with a Master’s preferred.
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety practices, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SAP environment and enterprise IT tools is desirable.
• Intermediate English level is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Annual Action and Training Plans in coordination with the EHS Manager.
• Coordinate with External Prevention Service for Annual Plan and risk assessments.
• Conduct accident investigations and prepare reports for Prevention Delegates and Group.
• Manage PPE stock, orders, and special equipment.
• Oversee mandatory Prevention training for all employees.
• Participate in the Safety and Health Committee.
• Propose improvement measures in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers on EHS matters.
• Prepare and control mandatory documentation related to Occupational Health and Safety.
• Support EHS Manager with expenses in the area.
• Assist onboarding for new hires.

Purpose

The Occupational Health and Safety Technician will collaborate with the EHS Manager to manage the proper functioning of Occupational Health and Safety at the Alcobendas plant. Their Mission: The Occupational Health and Safety Technician will promote a strong safety culture across the Alcobendas plant, proactively identifying risks, supporting preventive actions, delivering training and awareness initiatives, and contributing to the creation of a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Your Experience And Talents Will Make The Difference

• By Preparation of Annual Action and Training Plans in coordination with the EHS Manager.
• Coordination with the External Prevention Service to obtain the Annual Prevention Plan, risk assessments, and other annual studies and evaluations (e.g., chemical, psychosocial, noise, etc.).
• Conduct accident investigations, communicate them through Delta, and prepare reports for Prevention Delegates and for the Group.
• Stock control, ordering, and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as management of required special equipment (e.g., special footwear, etc.).
• Management of mandatory Prevention training for all employees.
• Participation in the Safety and Health Committee.
• Propose improvement measures and/or special actions in Occupational Health and Safety and promote, inform, and raise awareness among employees.
• Inter-company coordination on Occupational Health and Safety with contractors and suppliers.
• Preparation, review, and execution of the Emergency Plan and coordination with the SPA for conducting drills.
• Preparation and control of mandatory documentation related to Occupational Health and Safety.
• Collaborate with EHS Manager in expense control within the area.
• Participation in onboarding for new hires.
• Record required information according to procedures and ensure its traceability.
• Basic support in environmental management.
• Compliance with prevention, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Be aware of and comply with all regulations, procedures, and instructions related to your work, especially those concerning prevention and protection measures.

Desirable:

• Master's degree covering all three specializations in Occupational Risk Prevention.
• At least two years of experience in a similar position.
• Extensive knowledge of Occupational Risk Prevention in its three areas: Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
• Knowledge of applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and general work processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 systems.
• Experience using SAP environment and other enterprise management IT tools.
• Intermediate level of English.
