Job summary

Lufthansa Technik in Madrid seeks an experienced aerospace engineer to lead the full lease return process, from engine assessments to fleet management, ensuring compliance and top-quality documentation.

You will coordinate with lessors and MROs, plan complex workflows, travel domestically and internationally, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong customer orientation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aviation, Space Technology, or related field.
• Experience working with leasing companies.
• Fluent English and basic Spanish.
• Strong engine expertise and maintenance knowledge.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and relocation may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage lease return process with Lessor, incl. engine assessments and Workscope creation with MRO coordination.
• Coordinate scope, cost, and procedures with Lessor; maintain relationships and prepare reports.
• Oversee technical service, fleet management, and compliance with authority and preservation requirements.
• Define Modification Standards for customer Workscopes.
• Investigate complaints and incidents, ensuring corrective actions.
• Implement quality assurance and process improvements for documentation.
• Handle special tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Strong engine expertise and in-depth knowledge of engine maintenance processes and relationships.
• Good understanding of business management principles and relevant industry relationships.
• Familiarity with aeronautical legislation.
