Job summary

Centre People Appointments in Spain is seeking a Technical Sales Support Engineer to provide technical and commercial support for wastewater treatment projects and customers across Spain and international markets. You will design and size MBR wastewater plants, conduct feasibility studies, support external engineering partners, and deliver product demonstrations.

The role requires 3–5 years in water treatment, fluent Spanish and English, and willingness to travel up to 50% with a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment or related engineering.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies, including MBR systems.
• Strong ability to analyse, design, and assess feasibility for projects.
• Experience working with customers to develop tailored technical solutions.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

A leading company in the water treatment and environmental technology sector is currently recruiting a Technical Sales Support Engineer to provide technical and commercial support for its operations in Spain and international markets.

The role will support the development of technical solutions, wastewater treatment projects, and customer-facing activities, working closely with customers, commercial teams, and external engineering partners.

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in water or wastewater treatment, with knowledge of MBR technology and strong technical analysis and project skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary technical analyses and feasibility studies for wastewater treatment projects
• Design and size Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment plants
• Provide technical support and coordinate with external engineering and design consultancies

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 3–5 years' experience in technical engineering, project design, or project management within the water or wastewater treatment sector
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies, ideally including MBR systems
• Strong technical analysis, process design, and feasibility assessment skills
• Experience working with customers and developing tailored technical solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and on‑site technical assessment skills
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Spanish driving licence
• Portuguese language skills are advantageous
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site inspections, and technical visits

Conditions

• Working Style: hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 days from home)
• Salary: competitive, depending on experience
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00, travel for business needed for up to 50% of working time
