AECOM is seeking a senior professional with extensive experience in rail infrastructure to lead strategy, technical reviews, and lifecycle decisions from concept through commissioning. This role acts as the technical authority and shadow operator, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across international programs to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will mentor staff, contribute to bids, and represent infrastructure O&M interests in design and construction
Infrastructure decisions made at concept and design stages lock in decades of maintenance costs and operational risks. Programs that treat infrastructure operations and maintenance as a downstream concern inherit systems that are more costly to operate and fail more often.
The ideal candidate brings senior, hands‑on experience across the full lifecycle of high-speed and conventional rail infrastructure: planning, design, construction, testing and commissioning, and long-term operation and maintenance. Prior experience acting as technical authority or shadow operator, representing Infrastructure O&M interests inside design and construction decisions.
At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
