Descripción del empleo

At Pixaera, we’re a passionate team of builders who are dedicated to delivering solutions that empower people. Today, we’re leveraging Ai and gamification to build a vertical platform that is centered around improving the safety readiness of frontline workers in any high risk industry. If you are a doer who thrives in a dynamic, mission-focused environment, join us!

Help us redefine how safety training is built and scaled.

Pixaera is seeking a Technical Artist with deep Unreal Engine experience and a passion for procedural generation to join our immersive training team.

You’ll be at the forefront of creating scalable tools, pipelines, and systems that accelerate how we produce high-fidelity training environments and interactions for real-world safety scenarios— used by major industrial clients around the globe.

This role is ideal for a technical artist who thrives at the intersection of world-building, tool creation, and AI-assisted workflows—someone who enjoys solving hard problems, shipping usable tools, and empowering creative teams to move faster with fewer blockers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Design and implement procedural content pipelines in Unreal Engine to rapidly generate realistic training environments, props, characters and interactions.

  • Build tools and workflows for procedural animation generation, helping reduce reliance on manual rigging, mocap, or hand-keyed animations.

  • Integrate AI-driven systems (e.g., text-to-asset, semantic tagging, generative environments or characters) into our simulation production toolchain.

  • Develop modular systems and Blueprints to support scalable scene assembly, reactive objects, and reusable animation behaviors.

  • Own and maintain internal documentation, tutorials, and tooling guides to ensure cross-team adoption and smooth onboarding.

  • Collaborate with 3D artists, instructional designers, and simulation engineers to solve complex production challenges and drive continuous improvement.

  • Stay on the edge of technical art innovation—bringing in new techniques, tools, and AI breakthroughs where they matter most.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years in technical art roles, with extensive Unreal Engine experience (Blueprints, Materials, Niagara, World Partition, etc.).

  • Proven experience building procedural generation systems for 3D assets, environments, or VFX—either through Blueprints, Houdini, or custom tooling.

  • Experience or strong interest in AI-driven or procedural animation workflows, including skeletal blending, retargeting, and motion synthesis.

  • Familiarity with generative AI workflows for game production—e.g., asset generation, environment creation, or animation. Bonus for hands-on experience training or fine-tuning models on in-house data to meet style or performance goals.

  • Strong understanding of scene modularity, optimization, and performance profiling for real-time applications.

  • Experience building editor utilities or pipelines to support multi-disciplinary teams (Python, Editor Widgets, metadata tagging, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset—able to work across product, art, and engineering with clarity and empathy.

  • A systems-thinking approach: you see tools and pipelines as leverage, not just code.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working in simulation, digital twin, or training environments.

  • Familiarity with safety-critical or industrial workflows (e.g., lifting, rigging, energy sector).

  • Experience with procedural animation tooling (e.g., Move.ai, DeepMotion, ControlNet for motion, etc.).

  • Knowledge of AI pipeline deployment or in-editor inference integration.

At Pixaera, we’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive. We believe that diverse perspectives fuel creativity and innovation, which is why we celebrate individuality and foster an environment of inclusion and belonging.

We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer — discrimination of any kind has no place here. No matter your background, identity, or lived experience, you’re welcome at Pixaera.
