Job summary

Deel is seeking a Senior Team Lead, Engineering to guide a cross‑functional team of engineers, combine hands‑on coding with leadership, and drive scalable, high‑quality software in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical strategy, and collaborate with product, design, and other teams to deliver a superior user experience while maintaining engineering excellence and health.

Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming.
Experience designing scalable, maintainable systems.
Ability to write clean, well-structured, testable code.
Hands-on experience with SQL and complex queries.
Proven experience with APIs and distributed systems.
Demonstrated production experience resolving incidents.
Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
Proficient with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team of 6–10 engineers, balancing leadership and hands-on work.
Design, code, and deliver scalable Node.js applications with high quality.

Strong software engineering fundamentals:

Total Rewards

Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On‑Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market‑aligned conversion.
Final pay is based on objective, job‑related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
