Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead Dating Media Buying based in Spain.

Join a fast-growing, international performance marketing environment where data-driven strategies and profitable growth are at the heart of the business. As Team Lead Dating Media Buying, you will combine hands-on campaign management with strategic ownership and people leadership. You will oversee high-budget campaigns across multiple traffic sources, markets, and verticals, driving revenue and return on investment. You will also mentor and develop a team of media buyers while building scalable processes and improving operational efficiency. Working closely with Business Intelligence, Product, Creative, and external partners, you will identify new opportunities and strengthen campaign performance. This is an opportunity to make a measurable business impact, influence growth strategy, and build a high-performing team in a dynamic, remote-first setting.

Accountabilities

As Team Lead Dating Media Buying, you will own campaign performance, develop growth strategies, and lead a team responsible for scaling profitable acquisition activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Campaign management and performance: Own, launch, optimize, and scale high‑budget campaigns across multiple traffic sources, geographies, and verticals. Monitor performance metrics, report on results, and ensure revenue and ROI targets are achieved.
  • Growth strategy and experimentation: Develop and implement media buying strategies aligned with business objectives. Test new campaigns, funnels, creative angles, traffic sources, and markets while identifying scaling opportunities and performance inefficiencies.
  • Data-driven optimization: Use performance data, trends, and analytical insights to guide decisions, improve campaign outcomes, and establish a culture of continuous experimentation.
  • Partnerships and commercial development: Build relationships with advertising partners, networks, and sales representatives. Negotiate favorable deals, secure exclusive opportunities, improve margins, and identify new business and revenue streams.
  • Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and develop media buyers. Establish clear KPIs, performance expectations, and accountability standards while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Process and operational excellence: Improve workflows, campaign structures, and internal processes to support efficient, scalable operations across campaigns and teams.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Business Intelligence, Product, and Creative teams to maximize campaign effectiveness and align execution with broader growth priorities.
  • Industry awareness: Stay informed about advertising platform changes, emerging tools, traffic sources, and performance marketing trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded performance marketing professional with a strong record of scaling profitable campaigns and the leadership skills to turn strategy into measurable results. You combine analytical rigor with a hands-on approach, take ownership of business outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The key requirements include:

  • Professional experience: 4–6 or more years of experience in media buying or performance marketing.
  • Campaign performance: Demonstrated success managing high-spend campaigns profitably, working with substantial budgets, and implementing effective scaling strategies.
  • Analytical expertise: Strong understanding of performance data, campaign metrics, and ROI-driven optimization.
  • Strategic execution: Ability to develop media buying strategies, translate business objectives into actionable plans, and identify opportunities across markets and verticals.
  • Leadership experience: Previous experience managing or mentoring a team, setting performance expectations, delegating responsibilities, and developing team members.
  • Ownership and decision-making: A strong sense of accountability for team and business results, with the ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build productive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Organization and discipline: A structured, proactive, and results-oriented approach to managing campaigns, budgets, and operational priorities.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Affiliate marketing: Experience in affiliate marketing is an advantage.
  • Traffic sources: Familiarity with multiple advertising channels, such as Meta, native advertising, and display.
  • Advertising models: Strong understanding of CPM, CPC, CPL, and CPA pricing models.
  • Tools and tracking: Experience with Business Intelligence tools, tracking systems, or custom performance dashboards is beneficial.
