Primark Stores Limited in Madrid seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager for Iberia to lead recruitment across Spain and Portugal, translating regional priorities into market delivery. You will partner with People & Culture and business leaders, shaping talent strategy, employer branding, internal mobility and store openings to support growth.

Fluency in English and Spanish is essential; Portuguese is a plus. This role offers significant stakeholder exposure and scope to drive change across Iberia's

Formación

  • Significant experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment or Resourcing in fast-paced, multi-site or retail environments.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end recruitment strategies across multiple business areas.
  • Strong experience partnering with senior leaders and People & Culture stakeholders.
  • Success in workforce planning, talent attraction, employer branding and recruitment process optimisation.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics, analytics and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience supporting growth, transformation or large-scale hiring programmes.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment compliance.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align talent decisions with business objectives.
  • High level of English and Spanish; Portuguese advantageous.
  • Experience using recruitment technologies, ATS platforms and talent sourcing tools.

  • Lead Talent Acquisition strategies across Iberia, aligning with regional priorities and workforce needs.
  • Partner with People & Culture and leaders to anticipate hiring demand and develop proactive attraction solutions.
  • Ensure recruitment supports growth, succession planning and long-term talent requirements.
  • Drive performance through workforce planning, talent pipelining and market mapping.
  • Identify opportunities to improve hiring outcomes, efficiency and quality through continuous improvement.
  • Build credible relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across Iberia.
  • Advise on Talent Acquisition matters with expertise on markets, strategies and best practices.
  • Support leaders in making objective, high-quality hiring decisions.
  • Influence stakeholders to ensure effective workforce and talent decisions.
  • Lead internal recruitment and talent movement processes across Iberia.
  • Identify and progress internal talent, supporting career development and succession.
  • Ensure fair assessment processes across internal recruitment.
  • Champion internal mobility as part of Primark's talent strategy.
  • Provide TA leadership for new store openings and expansion projects.
  • Develop recruitment plans for store launches; ensure candidate quality and readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet milestones and staffing needs.
  • Deploy recruitment resources, suppliers and attraction strategies during growth.
  • Champion employer brand across Iberia with consistent market messaging.
  • Develop attraction strategies to strengthen pipelines for key audiences.
  • Build external partnerships with education and talent networks to expand reach.
  • Support regional/global employer branding initiatives with local adaptations.
  • Deliver high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience across activities.

Purpose of the role

The Talent Acquisition Manager, Iberia is responsible for leading and delivering Talent Acquisition strategies and recruitment outcomes across Spain and Portugal, ensuring the business attracts, engages and hires high-quality talent to support both operational and strategic growth objectives.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, Iberia, Italy & CEE, the role acts as a trusted partner to business leaders and People & Culture teams, translating regional and global Talent Acquisition priorities into effective market‑level delivery.

The role provides leadership across all retail Talent Acquisition activity in Iberia, including management recruitment, internal mobility, talent pipelining, employer branding, new store openings and recruitment transformation initiatives. Through strong stakeholder partnerships, market insight and data‑led decision making, the Talent Acquisition Manager drives hiring excellence, enhances candidate experience and strengthens Primark's position as an employer of choice across the region.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy & Delivery

Lead the delivery of Talent Acquisition strategies across Iberia, ensuring alignment with regional priorities, business plans and workforce requirements.

Partner with People & Culture and business leaders to anticipate hiring demand and develop proactive talent attraction solutions.

Ensure recruitment activity supports organisational growth, succession planning and long‑term talent requirements.

Drive recruitment performance through effective workforce planning, talent pipelining and market mapping activities.

Identify opportunities to improve hiring outcomes, efficiency and quality through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Partnership

Build strong and credible relationships with senior operational leaders, People & Culture teams and key stakeholders across Iberia.

Act as a trusted advisor on Talent Acquisition matters, providing expertise on talent markets, recruitment strategies and hiring best practices.

Support leaders in making objective, high‑quality hiring decisions that align with business and talent objectives.

Influence and challenge stakeholders appropriately to ensure effective workforce and talent decisions.

  • Internal Mobility & Talent Development

Lead and govern internal recruitment and talent movement processes across Iberia.

Facilitate the identification and progression of internal talent, supporting career development and succession planning initiatives.

Ensure consistent and fair assessment processes are applied across internal recruitment activities.

Champion internal mobility as a key component of Primark's talent strategy.

  • New Store Openings & Business Growth

Provide Talent Acquisition leadership for new store openings and major expansion projects across Iberia.

Develop recruitment plans that support successful store launches while ensuring strong candidate quality and operational readiness.

Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver recruitment milestones and workforce requirements for new business initiatives.

Ensure effective deployment of recruitment resources, suppliers and attraction strategies during growth periods.

  • Employer Brand & Talent Attraction

Champion Primark's employer brand across Iberia, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging in the market.

Develop and implement attraction strategies that strengthen talent pipelines across key target audiences.

Build external partnerships with educational institutions, community organisations and other talent networks to expand market reach.

Support the delivery of regional and global employer branding initiatives while adapting approaches to local market needs.

  • Recruitment Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Drive a high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience across all recruitment activities.

Monitor recruitment performance through data, insights and key metrics, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.

Lead initiatives that improve hiring effectiveness, recruitment processes and operational efficiency.

Support the implementation and adoption of Talent Acquisition technologies, systems and new ways of working.

Promote consistency, governance and best practice across all recruitment activity.

  • Vendor & Budget Management

Manage relationships with recruitment partners, agencies and external suppliers to ensure quality, value and performance.

Drive a direct hiring approach where appropriate, reducing reliance on third‑party recruitment channels.

Maintain effective oversight of recruitment expenditure and ensure resources are managed in line with budget expectations.

Continuously seek opportunities to improve return on investment across attraction and recruitment activities.

  • Governance & Compliance

Ensure recruitment activities comply with relevant employment legislation, company policies and governance requirements across Spain and Portugal.

Maintain high standards of fairness, inclusion and consistency throughout the recruitment process.

Support diversity and inclusion objectives through targeted attraction strategies and talent initiatives.

  • Significant experience within Talent Acquisition, Recruitment or Resourcing functions, ideally within a fast‑paced, multi‑site or retail environment.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end recruitment strategies and delivery across multiple business areas.
  • Strong experience partnering with senior business leaders and People & Culture stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in workforce planning, talent attraction, employer branding and recruitment process optimisation.
