Job summary

IFAE is seeking a proactive Systems and Infrastructure Administrator to manage and maintain Linux-based IT infrastructure across multiple platforms. You will provide level 2/3 support, participate in infrastructure projects, and contribute to public procurement processes.

A strong background in Proxmox, OPNsense, and NAS storage is essential. The role requires hands-on experience with virtualization, networking, and security, along with scripting and documentation duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Linux administration experience (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Experience with systemd-based services and SSH.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Experience with Proxmox VE virtualization.
• Experience with OPNsense firewalls.
• Knowledge of RAID, NFS, and SMB.
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Public sector or research center experience preferred.
• Bash and/or Python scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Manage Proxmox VE virtualization platforms.
• Administer OPNsense firewalls and VPNs.
• Manage Synology and QNAP NAS storage.
• Handle backups and restoration tests.
• Monitor infrastructure with Observium.
• Renew SSL/TLS certificates and manage DNS/DHCP/VPN/SSH.
• Prepare and update technical documentation.
• Participate in modernization projects of IT infrastructure.
