University of A Coruña is seeking a First Stage Researcher to collaborate on the Sustainable Mobility Laboratory project within the School of Civil Engineering. The role focuses on mobility analysis, GIS, and processing mobility data for urban and metropolitan transit systems.

The candidate will engage in developing computer models for transport supply and demand, contributing to research support tasks, and advancing data-driven mobility studies in a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Access degree and academic record. Degrees granting access to the regulated profession in Spain of Technical Civil Engineer or Civil Engineer will be assessed (maximum 20 points).
• The grade will be 2 * Academic file grade on a 0-10 scale (the degree qualification or the qualification prior to Royal Decree 1393/2007 will be considered).
• Master on Civil Engineering and its academic record (maximum 5 points). The grade will be 0.5 * Academic file grade on a 0-10 scale.
• Accredited training in mobility and transport planning (maximum 25 points, 2 points for every 10 hours of training).
• Accredited experience in research support tasks in mobility (maximum 20 points, 4 points per accredited month).
• Accredited experience in processing mobility data using geographic information systems (maximum 10 points).
• Personal interview: in which motivation and interest in the project will be assessed; conducted with top scorers; if only one candidate, interview may not be conducted.
• The merits claimed must be documented and fulfilled by the end of the candidacies deadline.
• A waiting list will be created; a minimum of 25 points is required (excluding the interview score).

Responsabilidades

• Collaboration, mainly, in tasks of: Mobility analysis and operations studies.
• Geographic information systems.
• Collection and processing of mobility data, both in the field and in the office.
• Could collaborate, also, in tasks of: Development of computer models for transport supply and demand.
• Database analysis.
