Job summary

Darwin Space is currently seeking a Structures Integration Manager in Spain. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing all structures integration activities for the launch vehicle, including propellant tanks, interstage, and fairing integration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aerospace structure's integration, electrical integration, or launch vehicle/ Aircraft or Satellite integration experience.
• Strong understanding of aerospace structures.
• Experience leading technical integration teams in operational environments.
• Experience supporting integrated testing and launch campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execution and verification of all structures integration activities for the launch vehicle.
• Manage propellant tanks, interstage, fairing integration and secondary composite structural elements.
• Interface between propulsion engineering, manufacturing, vehicle integration, avionics integration, propulsion integration, test operations, and launch operations.
• Lead structures integration activities for launch vehicles and future developments.
• Coordinate installation, routing, integration, checkout, and validation of structures and related components.
• Ensure structure integration activities comply with configurations, procedures, schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain operational readiness of structures integration teams, tooling and facilities.
• Lead structures integration technicians, engineers, and operational support personnel.
• Define roles, responsibilities and accountability within the structures integration organization.
• Support staffing, training, qualification, and development of structures integration personnel.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and verification of all structures integration activities associated with the launch vehicle.
• Manage propellant tanks, interstage, fairing integration and secondary composite structural elements
• Acts as the interface between propulsion engineering, manufacturing, vehicle integration, avionics integration, propulsion integration, test operations, and launch operations.
• Structures Integration Leadership by leading all structures integration activities for launch vehicles and future developments.
• Coordinate installation, routing, integration, checkout, and validation of structures, propellant tanks, interstage, fairing integration and secondary composite structure.
• Ensure structure integration activities comply with approved configurations, procedures, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Maintain operational readiness of structures integration teams, tooling, and facilities.
• Integrated Vehicle Checkout & Testing
• Lead structures support activities during integrated vehicle testing campaigns.
• Coordinate structures functional testing during vehicle integration and launch preparation.
• Ensure structures readiness for qualification and acceptance testing.
• Support troubleshooting during integrated vehicle test campaigns.
• Support launch site structures integration and checkout activities.
• Coordinate avionics closeouts before launch operations.
• Support launch countdown and operations.
• Coordinate rapid troubleshooting and anomaly resolution during launch campaigns.
• Ensure structures integration activities comply with approved configurations and engineering documentation.
• Maintain traceability of structures configurations.
• Support nonconformance resolution and corrective action implementation.

Required Qualifications
