Airbus Defence and Space SAU is recruiting a Structural Designer to join the Aerostructures Design area. You will apply 3DExperience and composite technologies to define airframe components and support production in a multinational team.

The role requires a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, at least 7 years of aircraft structural design experience, and strong CATIA/PDM/PLM skills. English and Spanish negotiation levels are expected, with hybrid work where possible.

Formación

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics).
• 7+ years of professional experience in aircraft Structural Design.
• Knowledge and experience in composite structures.
• Experience with CATIA and PDM/PLM Tools and configuration methods.
• Experience in Checking/Approval of Structural Design within a design organisation.
• Good command of MS Office and back office tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• English and Spanish negotiation level.

Job Description

A position as Structural Designer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space. The successful candidate will join the Aerostructures Design area and will be integrated into structural design team, applying cutting edge technologies in composite structures and state of the art full 3d modelling procedures for Aeronautical Design with 3DExperience. The area is responsible of the structural design and integration of major airframe components such us: EUROMALE and Dassault Falcon 10X Empennages, HURJET aircraft modifications and certification for Spanish Airforce and also taking care of structural design modifications and sustaining of other Aerostructures projects in production and in service phases such us Falcon 7X/8X Horizontal Tail plane. The department is, as well, in charge of the preparation of technical proposals for new offers for the Aerostructures Programs for military or civil aircraft. It is a dynamic area, apply leading digital product innovation with 3DExperience and team working with an AGILE methodology, adding value within Structural Design solutions and troubleshooting issues in production and in service.

Responsibilities

• Design and Validation of composites/hybrids components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured.
• Structural definition and architecture of Airframe components.
• Components Documentation for Manufacturing and assembling.
• Mechanical Planning and follow up of structural design deliverables.
• Components Specification for purchasing.
• Concurrent Engineering with Manufacturing, Structural Analysis, Systems installations, Structural tests, Materials and Processes and Services Supportability Engineers.
• Interfacing with external customers, partners and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test reports and Project follow-up meetings.

Skills

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics).
