NEU Group in Spain is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Engineer to lead sourcing for mechanical components, composites, and machined parts within the Supply Chain organization. You will identify and qualify suppliers across Spain and Europe, manage RFQs, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.

This role requires a Mechanical Engineering background, at least 5 years in strategic sourcing in manufacturing, and fluent English to coordinate with international teams and suppliers.

Formación

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Development, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience sourcing composite materials and/or composite-manufactured components.
  • Strong experience sourcing machined and precision-manufactured components.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings, specifications, and supplier capabilities.
  • Proven experience negotiating production and supply agreements.
  • Strong supplier network across Spain and/or Europe.
  • Experience managing complex sourcing or industrialization projects.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Professional-level English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for mechanical components, composite materials, machined parts, and manufacturing services.
  • Identify, assess, qualify, and develop new suppliers across Spain and Europe.
  • Manage RFQs, supplier selection processes, cost analysis, and commercial evaluations.
  • Negotiate production contracts, pricing, lead times, capacity commitments, and commercial terms.
  • Build and maintain a strong supplier network within relevant manufacturing sectors.
  • Work closely with Engineering to evaluate supplier technical capabilities, manufacturability, and production readiness.
  • Manage sourcing projects from initial supplier identification through qualification and production.
  • Monitor supplier performance, capacity, quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
  • Identify sourcing risks and develop mitigation and dual-sourcing strategies.
  • Support cost reduction, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

We are supporting a fast-growing international technology and manufacturing company looking a Strategic Sourcing Engineer to join its Supply Chain organization in Spain.

This role is particularly suited to Mechanical Engineers with strong strategic sourcing experience and a solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes, especially composite materials and machined components.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating with, and managing strategic suppliers supporting complex production programs.

Professional-level English is essential, as you will work daily with international suppliers, engineering teams, and global stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing
