Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Project Controller to monitor and manage project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to and variances are explained. You will prepare cost reports, forecasts, and analyses to support profitability and financial planning across our European operations.

The role collaborates with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency, review POs and invoices, and contribute to budget development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in cost control, budgeting, or financial analysis (typically 2-5 years).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and cost management techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project or operational costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Track expenses and analyze deviations between actual costs and planned budgets.
• Work closely with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost efficiency.
• Review purchase orders, invoices, and contracts to ensure proper cost allocation.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial plans.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain cost control systems and financial documentation.
• Support financial audits by providing relevant cost data and reports.
• Analyze historical data to improve future cost estimates.
