Amentum, a global leader in engineering and professional services, seeks a Stock Control Manager to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This full-time, on-site role requires overseeing stock control operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance with Navy standards.

You will manage N-ERP and Government MIS systems, lead a team, train staff, and prepare detailed stock reports for management and government stakeholders.

Formación

  • Minimum three years of experience as stock control manager and supervisor.
  • At least two years of experience or training in N-ERP and non-mechanized material management procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of Government Material Management/MIS Systems and related processes.

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Stock Control Manager to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.

Full time on site position.

CT, ES.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing stock control operations, including tracking, ordering, receiving, and issuing materials in alignment with Government Material Management/MIS Systems and non-mechanized procedures.
  • Supervising the accuracy and accountability of inventory, ensuring all supply activities adhere to Navy standards and regulations.
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained efficiently to meet operational demands while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Proficiently utilizing and managing N-ERP (Navy Enterprise Resource Planning) and other Government Material Management/MIS Systems to streamline processes and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implementing and monitoring inventory control procedures to ensure compliance with established supply chain policies and guidelines.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on material management and stock control procedures.
  • Supervising and leading a team of stock control personnel, ensuring accurate performance and high productivity.
  • Training and mentoring team members to maintain knowledge of supply procedures, system updates, and operational requirements.
  • Monitoring and evaluating staff performance to ensure effective execution of supply functions.
  • Preparing detailed reports on stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and material flow for submission to management and government stakeholders.
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing corrective actions to improve stock control accuracy and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a stock control manager and supervisor.
  • At least two (2) years of experience or training in N-ERP and non-mechanized material management procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of Government Material Management/MIS Systems and related processes.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Familiarity with supply functions ashore and the ability to execute stock control operations in compliance with Navy and DoD standards.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage inventory, implement supply procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage personnel and coordinate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems, including N-ERP or equivalent platforms.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
  • Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
  • Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
  • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.
  • Advanced certifications in supply chain management or stock control, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Navy supply and logistics operations, including Material Management processes in Navy or DoD environments.
  • Valid country driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets and generating comprehensive reports for operational planning.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain.

Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
