Seqera is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the low-level systems powering scientific workloads in the cloud. You will work on Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched, with an orchestration layer tying compute across providers.

You will design and implement near-OS components, push for high testing standards, and mentor teammates. A strong background in Go/C/C++, Linux internals, and distributed/cloud-native architectures is essential.

Formación

• Deep experience building production-grade systems software with technical ownership at Staff level.
• Strong in Go and comfortable in C/C++, close to the operating system.
• Solid Linux internals - filesystems, namespaces, processes, signals, networking; proficient debugging.
• Built distributed and/or cloud-native systems and understand multi-cloud failure modes.
• Write simple, well-structured, well-tested code with clarity and debuggability.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving work independently.
• Familiar with AI usage in daily engineering work is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own low-level systems across Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched.
• Write reliable, well-tested code primarily in Go and C, with Rust and JVM where appropriate.
• Work near the OS: FUSE filesystems, Linux namespaces, CRIU, process supervision, signals.
