Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment’s client is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer for bare-metal Linux in a datacenter-focused environment across the EU. You will own reliability end-to-end, define SLI/SLOs, run error-budget conversations, and deploy changes that reduce incidents and latency.

In a 100% remote role, you’ll work on Linux performance, kernel debugging, networking issues, and Kubernetes on bare metal.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience in bare-metal/datacenter infrastructure, 15+ years in Linux-heavy roles.
• Experience operating large fleets of physical servers.
• Deep hands-on Linux kernel debugging and performance work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production reliability, define SLIs/SLOs, and run error-budget conversations.
• Ship changes that reduce incidents and improve latency (p95/p99).
• Build automation to kill toil and make deployments safer (canary/rollback).
• Turn observability into signal rather than noise.
