Scopely is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Playgami team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis. We build, publish, and operate mobile and cross-platform games and related SaaS gaming tooling, powering experiences loved by millions.

You will lead from design through implementation and operation, set technical direction for scalable features, and mentor engineers across disciplines. A product mindset and strong collaboration are essential in this high-impact role.

Formación

• Strong CS fundamentals including system design, data structures, algorithms and concurrency.
• Deep experience with Java, C#, or another OO language, including asynchronous and parallel programming.
• Proven track record designing, shipping, and operating complex production systems with high-quality, maintainable code.
• The ability to lead across teams and disciplines through influence, communicate decisions clearly, and work constructively.
• A product engineering mindset, sound judgment under ambiguity, and a habit of learning and improving.

What You’ll Do

• Lead work from design through implementation and operation, producing maintainable code, useful documentation, effective tests, and reliable releases.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals, including system design, data structures, algorithms and concurrency.
• Deep experience with Java, C#, or another object-oriented language, including asynchronous and parallel programming.
• A track record of designing, shipping, and operating complex production systems with high-quality, maintainable code.
• The ability to lead across teams and disciplines through influence, communicate decisions clearly, and work constructively.
• A product engineering mindset, sound judgment under ambiguity, and a habit of learning and improving.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with low-latency, high-volume distributed systems or large-scale data technologies.
• Experience with a modern web framework such as React or Angular.
