MaxLinear seeks a Staff Hardware Designer – Systems Engineer to contribute to the design, bring‑up, and validation of Evaluation Kits (EVKs) used for silicon validation and customer engagement.

You will support hardware projects from requirements through schematic design and lab validation, collaborating with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams. The role emphasizes hands‑on bring‑up, documentation, and effective communication in English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of hardware design experience for complex systems or EVKs.
• Experience in power supply design, RF/mixed-signal hardware, high-speed interfaces, and SI/PI fundamentals.
• Proven ability to own design blocks, bring projects from requirements to validation, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to EVK hardware projects from requirements to validation and take ownership of design blocks.
• Translate system and customer requirements into practical EVK designs.
• Design EVKs at schematic level including power supply, RF/mixed‑signal circuits, and interfaces (I2C, SPI).
• Apply SI/PI fundamentals to high‑speed designs and perform SPICE simulations.
• Support PCB layout reviews, stack‑up discussions, and SI/PI simulations; generate BOMs and manufacturing outputs.
• Define and execute bring‑up and lab validation plans; debug with lab instrumentation; create documentation.
