Deel is seeking a Staff Engineer for the US Payroll team to serve as a principal technical advisor and architect, guiding strategic evolution of our payroll platform. You will partner with the Director of Engineering to shape architecture and engineering excellence, scaling the platform for enterprise clients and our EOR/PEO ecosystem.

You will drive essential rearchitectures, mentor engineers, and set high technical standards while bridging engineering with product leadership to drive alignment

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fast-growing organizations.
• Proven leadership across multiple teams with a track record of driving initiatives.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for scalable platforms.
• Excellent communication and mentorship to develop engineers.
• Experience bridging engineering with product and design.

Responsabilidades

• Principal Advisor & Architect: lead technical design and architecture for initiatives.
• Drive architecture reviews and risk identification with short- and long-term health in mind.
