Job summary

Workato is seeking a Staff Backend Developer (Ruby/Go) to join our Engine team, focusing on the Recipe runtime and distributed architecture. You will contribute to performance, scalability, storage, durability, and concurrency guarantees across complex services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms and how they are used is essential.
• Experience building scalable distributed backend applications.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build/extend/troubleshoot/fix complex heterogeneous Golang/Ruby applications.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code in Ruby and Go.
• Integrate data storage solutions (Postgres/S3/Redis/Kafka/ClickHouse).
• Provide code reviews and technical leadership across teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to systems.
