MezTal is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing organization operating in real estate and senior living. You will prepare journal entries, run month-end close, and reconcile general ledger accounts as part of a broader accounting function.

The role supports monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and financial statement preparation, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Self-starter with ability to identify issues and propose solutions for discussion with the Controller.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing business environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for assets, liabilities, equity accounts, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare variance analysis reports and provide commentary on actual versus budget variances.
• Perform reconciliations between two or more systems and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and maintenance.
• Support bank reconciliation processes.
• Perform other accounting-related duties and special projects as requested.
