Schwarz Gruppe in Barcelona is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and build components of a cloud-native Observability Suite. You will extend the architecture with OpenTelemetry and Prometheus, develop Kubernetes operators, and create REST APIs for monitoring and alerting lifecycles in an agile environment.

You will diagnose bottlenecks using logs, tracing, and metrics while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve observability in high-cardinality environments.

Formación

• Experience with full software development lifecycle.
• Comfort with Go and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tooling and dashboards.
• Ability to work in an agile You Build It - You Run It environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build components of the Observability Suite as cloud services within Grafana LGTM stack.
• Extend architecture with OpenTelemetry and Prometheus for logs, metrics, and traces.
• Develop Kubernetes operators to automate lifecycle of cloud services.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for monitoring and alerting lifecycles.
• Perform root cause analyses using logs, tracing and metrics to fix bottlenecks.

In this role you design and build components of a cloud-native Observability Suite, integrating Grafana LGTM stack and open-source observability tooling. You will extend architecture with OpenTelemetry and Prometheus, and develop Kubernetes operators to automate cloud services. You own the full lifecycle in an agile setting, bridging development and SRE to diagnose and fix bottlenecks. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring and alerting for scalable, high-cardinality environments, making a meaningful impact on our observability platform.

• Design and develop components of the Observability Suite as cloud services within Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
• Extend architecture with open-source observability projects (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus) for logs, metrics, and traces
• Develop Kubernetes operators to automate the life cycle of cloud services
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for programmatic access to monitoring and alerting lifecycles
• Operate in an agile "You Build It - You Run It" environment, bridging development and SRE
• Conduct complex root cause analyses using logs, tracing and metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable fixes
• Deep enthusiasm for Software Engineering, Cloud-Native Observability and SRE
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle; comfort with Go and Kubernetes; Kubernetes operators are a plus
• Familiarity with or eagerness to master the Grafana ecosystem
• Understanding of observability needs in modern cloud services and how to instrument them
• Enjoys exploring new technologies (e.g., OpenTelemetry) and sharing knowledge with the team
• Ability to go beyond dashboards and optimize data structures for high-cardinality environments
