Talan is seeking a skilled data/Java engineer for a fully remote role based in Spain. You will optimize batch performance, integrate quant libraries, and ensure high quality through tests and secure CI pipelines while collaborating with Quants, Data, and the IMM team.

The role offers exposure to international projects and a multicultural work environment, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Strong Java with focus on performance, memory, and multi-threading.
• Numerical computing experience with heavy calculations and parallel processing.
• Build & test tools: JUnit, Git, CI/CD.
• Data tech: Spark and Parquet.

Qualifications

Mandatory skills:

• Strong Java — good with performance, memory, and multi-threading.
• Numerical computing — comfortable with heavy calculations and parallel processing.
  • Credit conterparty risk internal model development
• Build & test tools — JUnit, Git, CI/CD.
• Data — Spark and Parquet.

Nice to have skills:

• Cloud - Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Finance (nice to have) — basic understanding of risk/XVA.Can be learned on the job.
