NewSpace Technology is seeking a Flight Dynamics Software / Space Situational Awareness Engineer to join a hybrid team across Germany and Spain. The role focuses on developing advanced orbit propagation and OD algorithms, fusing data from multiple sources, and delivering scalable software for space operations.

• Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace/Space Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in space systems, flight dynamics, astrodynamics, or related areas (3+ years possible for exceptional profiles).
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of astrodynamics and flight dynamics.
• Experience programming with Python, Java, Fortran (90+).
• Experience in research-driven or engineering-focused environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving strengths; able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid right to work within Europe.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize algorithms for orbit propagation, OD, sensor fusion, and uncertainty quantification.
• Integrate and process data from multiple sources to improve SSA capabilities.
• Develop methods to model orbital environment and space object behaviour.
• Conduct validation campaigns to assess and improve algorithm performance.
• Support transitioning research concepts into scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with software, aerospace engineers, and data specialists to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
• Contribute to orbital safety and space traffic management technologies.
