NewSpace Technical in Barcelona is seeking a Flight Dynamics Software / Space Situational Awareness Engineer to advance orbit propagation, OD, and sensor fusion within a hybrid Europe team. You will collaborate with software and aerospace engineers to turn research into reliable, scalable solutions, applying advanced SSA methods to ensure space safety and efficient satellite operations.

This full-time position requires a master's in a relevant field and 5+ years of space systems experience;

Formación

• Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Space Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in space systems, flight dynamics, astrodynamics, or related fields (3+ for exceptional profiles).
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of astrodynamics and orbital mechanics.
• Experience with scientific programming in Python, Java, or Fortran (90+).
• Experience in research-driven or engineering-focused environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize algorithms for orbit propagation and determination.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to enhance SSA capabilities.
• Model space object behavior and orbital environments.
• Conduct validation campaigns to assess algorithm performance.
• Transition research concepts into scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with software, aerospace, and data teams on mission-critical capabilities.
• Contribute to safety and space traffic management technologies.
