Blu Selection in Barcelona is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps to join the growing European hub. You will join the SRE/DevOps team, handle 24/7 follow-the-sun coverage, and help build automation and resilient platforms for high-traffic services.

The role emphasizes incident response, RCAs, CI/CD, AWS, Terraform, and collaboration across time zones; onsite Barcelona as needed; hybrid work model with 2-3 days in the office.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps/SRE or similar role.
• Strong practical AWS cloud services experience.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Solid containerization/orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go scripting.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across layers.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.
• Excellent communication for a globally distributed team.
• Calm, proactive mindset under pressure.

The Project

If you want to join a strong global team working on high traffic platforms for major international brands, this one's for you.

Our client is a global digital marketing agency with 17 years in the game, offices in the US (Milwaukee), the Philippines, New Zealand, Bahrain, and France. They work with major international brands, including one of the world's largest pharmaceutical groups, delivering enterprise level web experiences on complex CMS platforms.

They have recently opened their European hub in Barcelona and are growing the team. You'll join their existing SRE / DevOps team, which runs on a \"follow the sun\" model: engineers across the US, APAC, and Europe share 24/7 coverage, so every region can rely on fast response at any hour. Your mission is twofold: react quickly and effectively when things go wrong, and build, automate, and improve when everything runs smoothly.

Your responsibilities and impact as Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps:

• Act as a first responder to production incidents: diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime
• Take part in a global, rotating on call schedule as part of the \"follow the sun\" team structure
• Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs), implement permanent fixes, and feed lessons learned back into the development process
• Design, implement, and maintain automation tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations and deployments
• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), ensuring consistency, reliability, and security
• Develop and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (Datadog) to give deep visibility into system health across all client regions
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize system performance and efficiency
• Work closely with engineering teams across time zones: define reliability requirements, review code with an operational eye, and drive a culture of shared ownership
• Spend time on site with clients in Barcelona to build strong relationships and align on technical priorities

Skills, qualifications, and interests you need to succeed in this role:

• 4+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role
• Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across multiple layers of a technology stack
• Fluent in English (required for daily communication with global teams and clients). Spanish is a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent communication skills: you're comfortable explaining technical issues to clients and working in a globally distributed team
• A calm, proactive mindset under pressure: when production is down, you're the one who stays focused and gets things back on track
