Dexcom Inc. is seeking a Sr Technical Program Manager for FHIR APIs on an 18-month contract basis in Madrid, Spain. This role involves gathering customer requirements, advising on FHIR API integration, and testing solutions in the Spanish healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical experience with FHIR APIs, as well as fluency in both Spanish and English. This position offers a hybrid working environment and comprehensive benefits.

The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.This role is offered as an 18-month contract, with the possibility of renewal.**Meet the team:** The Interoperability Solutions Team is part of the Advanced Product & Technology Experiences (APTX) group within the R&D organization. Interoperability Solutions delivers industry-leading data connectivity with external EHR systems, healthcare organizations, and data partners, leveraging the latest API standards. We enable efficient and scalable data exchange and ensure compliance with the latest health industry API standards, such as the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).This technical consultant role will be directly supporting the FHIR API interoperability development and integrations in Spain and report to the Director of Interoperability Solutions Team based in the U.S.**Where you come in:** • Gathers and evaluates external customer requirements for FHIR API interoperability solutions in Spain • Advises on the design and implementation of solutions integrating with external applications using FHIR APIs with digital health platforms in Spain • Evaluates EHR and external healthcare information systems to determine interoperability requirements and identifies and helps design FHIR-based solutions that will meet customer’s needs within specified timeframes•Interacts with IT teams of the external customers from initial engagement through implementation by attending customer meetings, technical calls, testing and integration sessions in person and online within Spain (travel within Spain is required). • Assists with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of FHIR API solutions to identify and resolve issues with external stakeholders • Interfaces with software engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products • Prepares necessary documentation for customer integration solution releases, such as release notes, sandbox environments, and user guides. • Provides daily updates and interacts with the Interoperability Solutions Team**What makes you successful:** • Real-world technical experience with FHIR APIs and knowledge of FHIR standards and documentation • Proven track record of delivering FHIR applications in healthcare environment in Spain • Passion for collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and creating high-quality products • Experience troubleshooting interoperability issues • Speaks fluent Spanish and English**Minimum Education and Experience** • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar • 2 years of experience with FHIR APIs • Working knowledge of JAVA, JSON, XML, or Python • Active member of HL7 International or HL7 Spain • Fluent in Spanish and English Preferred Education and Experience • Minimum requirements plus • FHIR certification from HL7 or equivalent (FHIR R4 Proficiency, FHIR Foundational Implementer, or similar) would be a plus.**What you’ll get:** • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
