Job summary

Indie Campers in Spain is seeking an enthusiastic Tourism & Operations Intern for our depot in Málaga area. You will welcome guests, set them up for road trips, and ensure a smooth start and end to their journey in a fast-paced, international environment.

As a student or recent graduate in Hospitality or related fields, you’ll gain hands-on experience across front-office and back-office tasks, with training provided and the possibility of future opportunities within Indie Campers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed studies in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Business Administration or related field.
• Fluency in English is required; valid work permit if applicable and a driver’s license for both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Interest in international environments and meeting new cultures.
• Strong customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Front-office: greet guests, check-ins/outs, register guests, explain campervan features and terms, upsell extras.
• Back-office: align reservations with available campervans, prepare campers and road-trip kits, coordinate fleet.
• Quality control: maintain campers in top condition and address maintenance needs.
• Support activities: assist the team with stock monitoring, fleet coordination, and issue troubleshooting.

THE ROLE

We’re on the lookout for passionate students or recent graduates who want to dive into the exciting world of RV and campervan rentals and gain hands-on tourism experience at our depot in Poligono Industrial la Moraga, Numero 35, Manzana 2, Spain.

As our Tourism & Operations Intern , you’ll be the friendly face of our brand - welcoming guests, setting them up for road trips of a lifetime, and ensuring their journey ends just as wonderfully as it began. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Front-office activities:

• Customer service and sales: Take care of check-ins and check-outs, register guests, process payments, explain campervan functionalities, terms and conditions, upsell road trip extras.

Back-office activities:

• Operations handling: Align the reservations with the available campervans, verify and prepare campers and road trip extras and kits.
• Quality control: Maintain the campervans in top condition, identify and act on possible maintenance or repair needs.
• Support activities: Support the team in monitoring the existing stock, coordinating the fleet of campervans, troubleshooting operational issues.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Business Administration or a related field looking for an internship;
• You are fluent in English, have a work permit (if applicable), and a valid driver’s licence (for both manual and automatic vehicles);
• You like international environments and meeting new cultures;
• You possess a natural talent for connecting with people and have a strong customer service orientation;
• You have a problem-solving mindset, thriving to create solutions and feeling comfortable with getting your hands dirty.
