Mercor is seeking experienced Spanish Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project in partnership with a leading research lab. This role centers on evaluating how effectively a large language model performs in Spanish-language tasks and on curating high-quality Spanish linguistic data to train and improve the model’s understanding and generation capabilities.

You will evaluate translations, edits, and annotations, and provide linguistic feedback to guide model training.

Formación

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish with strong grammar, syntax, and stylistics.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Spanish.
• Understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations.
• Interest in AI and LLM-based language technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors.
• Clear communication and experience working in distributed, remote teams.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate quality and accuracy of Spanish text across various use cases (e.g., translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar correction).
• Edit, refine, or rewrite Spanish content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.
• Annotate Spanish text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.
• Identify model errors and language gaps, and collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance.
• Provide detailed linguistic feedback and analysis to guide ongoing model training efforts.
