Job summary

Nestlé Purina offers an internship in its European Team in Barcelona, starting February/March 2027 for six months at 30 hours per week. You must be enrolled in a degree or master's program throughout the internship.

As a trainee, you will support the scientific substantiation of Purina Pro Plan products and engage with cross-functional teams to ensure evidence-based communications and brand positioning across NPPE.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree or master throughout the 6 months internship.
• Veterinary student enrolled in official university program.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Catalan a plus.
• Strong communication and deadlines discipline.
• Good computer skills with common office software.

Responsibilities

• Support scientific substantiation of product ranges and claims.
• Provide accurate, credible nutrition content for marketing and branding.
• Collaborate with Science & Nutrition Managers and Veterinary Affairs Manager.
• Work within a cross-functional European team on NPPE portfolio.

Description Of Internship

At Purina PetCare, we believe science is at the heart of everything we do. As a trainee in our Purina European Team, you will play a key role in supporting the scientific substantiation of our product ranges- especially PPVD (Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets) Pro Plan Supplements and Purina Pro Plan- as well as contributing to the broader NPPE brand portfolio.

Working closely with our Science & Nutrition Managers and with our Veterinary Affairs Manager, you will help ensure that all product-related communications are backed by solid scientific evidence. This includes providing accurate, credible, and engaging nutritional and product science content to support marketing, communications, and brand positioning efforts.

You will be part of a dynamic European team, organized by Condition Type, and gain hands-on experience in how product science drives innovation, trust, and impact across the pet care industry.

You should apply if you are:

• Having the necessary credits to be able to carry out the curricular or extracurricular 6 months internship in our company. We only accept the candidacies of alumni who are enrolled in degrees or masters linked to official universities.
• Veterinary student.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Fluent in Spanish, both spoken and written (Catalan is a plus).
• Flexible and autonomous, you can meet strict deadlines while also being open to giving and receiving regular feedback.
• You are precise and do your utmost to comply to procedures and deadlines.
• You are a good communicator.
• Excellent digital skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel as a minimum).

Terms & Conditions:

• College scholarship: 883€ per month.
