Job summary

Alén Space is seeking a Space Project Manager to coordinate space projects, act as the primary client contact, and guide the technical team across domains to meet milestones, costs, and deadlines.

The role emphasizes strong communication with international clients, proactive problem-solving, and rigorous project coordination under ECSS and ISO9001 standards. Remote work a percentage of time will be defined with the manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PMI and Agile methodologies required.
• Academic background in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience managing aerospace projects using ECSS management standards.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and similar quality standards.
• Experience in leading a project team and coordinating with international clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple space projects concurrently and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Plan projects and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans for project development.
• Coordinate client communications, action items, and scope changes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule.

We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Space Project Manager; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to serve as the coordinator of space projects with clients, acting as the main point of contact for the client and stakeholders. They will also be responsible for coordinating the activities of the technical team involved in the project, as well as tracking costs, deliverables, and deadlines.

What you will be doing?

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Plan projects and monitor their progress.
• Identify risks and other potential obstacles in project development.
• Manage communication with clients and stakeholders, track action items, address issues, and negotiate scope changes.
• Coordinate meetings and milestone reviews with the client.
• Coordinate the technical team from various areas to achieve project objectives.
• Track project costs and time according to the project plan and internal processes.
• Communicate project metrics, risks, and deviations to the operations team.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing technical projects.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to international clients and stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 equivalent).
