Job summary

Maisa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to build enterprise UI experiences using React and TypeScript. You’ll own frontend features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams, and contributing to architecture and design systems.

You’ll work in a distributed, fast-moving environment with remote options and hubs in Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, and Murcia, shaping culture from day one and influencing how we deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production React and TypeScript applications.
• Strong understanding of React rendering, hooks, and component composition.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing server state with TanStack Query.
• Experience writing frontend tests across unit, component, and end-to-end levels.

About The Role

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, UK (remote)

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to build the interfaces that give enterprise users visibility and control over AI-powered automated workflows. You’ll turn complex capabilities into clear, intuitive product experiences, owning meaningful frontend features from initial requirements through release. Working closely with product, design, and backend engineers, you’ll help shape how customers interact with Maisa.

You’ll join a team of three frontend engineers, working primarily with React and TypeScript. As the product grows, you’ll contribute to frontend architecture, shared components, performance, and engineering standards, with opportunities to support backend work when needed.

What You’ll Do…

• Build responsive, accessible interfaces for complex enterprise workflows and data-intensive screens.
• Translate designs into polished experiences, including thoughtful interactions and loading, empty, and error states.
• Develop composable, maintainable components and contribute to shared UI patterns and design systems.
• Make sound decisions around state ownership, rendering, and component design.
• Integrate REST APIs using TanStack Query, managing caching, mutations, and data consistency.
• Write meaningful automated tests and resolve interface performance bottlenecks.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver features from concept through release.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering standards, supporting backend work when needed.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production React and TypeScript applications.
• A solid understanding of React rendering, hooks, state management, and component composition.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, with attention to responsive design, accessibility, and visual quality.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing server state using TanStack Query or comparable tools.
• Experience writing frontend tests across unit, component, and end-to-end levels.
• Evidence of owning complex frontend features from requirements through release.
• Clear communication, product judgment, and the ability to make progress when requirements are incomplete.
• A proactive approach, strong ownership, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Vite, Tailwind CSS, Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Experience with design systems, shadcn/ui, and Motion or Framer Motion.
• Background in complex B2B applications; Go or Python experience is a plus.
