Job summary

Maisa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to build the interfaces that empower enterprise users with AI-driven workflows. You will own meaningful frontend features from requirements through release, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend engineers.

You’ll join a three-person frontend team using React and TypeScript, contributing to frontend architecture, shared components, and performance, with opportunities to support backend work as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production React/TypeScript apps.
• Strong understanding of React rendering, hooks, and state management.
• Solid JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills with responsive design and accessibility.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing server state with TanStack Query or similar.
• Experience writing frontend tests (unit, component, E2E).
• Proven track record owning complex frontend features from requirements to release.
• Clear communication and product judgment in fast-moving environments.

About The Role

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

The role…

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to build the interfaces that give enterprise users visibility and control over AI-powered automated workflows.

You’ll turn complex capabilities into clear, intuitive product experiences, owning meaningful frontend features from initial requirements through release. Working closely with product, design, and backend engineers, you’ll help shape how customers interact with Maisa.

You’ll join a team of three frontend engineers, working primarily with React and TypeScript. As the product grows, you’ll contribute to frontend architecture, shared components, performance, and engineering standards, with opportunities to support backend work when needed.

What You’ll Do…

• Build responsive, accessible interfaces for complex enterprise workflows and data-intensive screens.
• Translate designs into polished experiences, including thoughtful interactions and loading, empty, and error states.
• Develop composable, maintainable components and contribute to shared UI patterns and design systems.
• Make sound decisions around state ownership, rendering, and component design.
• Integrate REST APIs using TanStack Query, managing caching, mutations, and data consistency.
• Write meaningful automated tests and resolve interface performance bottlenecks.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver features from concept through release.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering standards, supporting backend work when needed.

What You’ll Bring…

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production React and TypeScript applications.
• A solid understanding of React rendering, hooks, state management, and component composition.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, with attention to responsive design, accessibility, and visual quality.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing server state using TanStack Query or comparable tools.
• Experience writing frontend tests across unit, component, and end-to-end levels.
• Evidence of owning complex frontend features from requirements through release.
• Clear communication, product judgment, and the ability to make progress when requirements are incomplete.
• A proactive approach, strong ownership, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Vite, Tailwind CSS, Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Experience with design systems, shadcn/ui, and Motion or Framer Motion.
• Background in complex B2B applications; Go or Python experience is a plus.
