Exoscale is hiring a Software Engineer to join its core compute team. You will design and implement capabilities for the cloud platform, focusing on scalability and reliability.

The role involves distributed systems, performance monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across EU locations. Ideal candidates have hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, familiarity with KVM virtualization, UNIX, and distributed systems.

Formación

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies (KVM)
• Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems
• Proven experience building and operating distributed systems
• Focus on performance, monitoring, and reliability
• Experience with one of Clojure or Go is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain the core compute platform.
• Design and maintain orchestrators and distributed agents.
• Ensure scalability, reliability and performance of services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call responsibilities after training.

Location: Madrid, Munich or Remote in EU

Some of the challenges you will be working on:

• Design and maintain our core compute platform


• Design and maintain orchestrators and distributed agents


• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical issues


• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues


• Participate in code & changes reviews


• Take part in the on-call roll after a training period

Ideal candidates have:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure


• Prior experience with virtualization technology such as KVM


• A good understanding of the UNIX operating system


• Experience with building and operating distributed systems


• An eye for performance and monitoring


• Experience with one of Clojure or Go
