Getnet Platforms, part of Santander Payment Solutions, is hiring a Software Engineer in Madrid. You will design and implement production-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, build REST APIs, and deploy via Docker/Kubernetes on AWS.

• 3+ years of software development in production environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Software Engineer, these will be some of the key activities in your day-to-day role:

• Design and develop production-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, following clean architecture and domain-driven design principles.
• Build scalable REST APIs and event-driven integrations aligned with engineering standards and best practices.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS managed services.
• Automate build, testing and deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Take ownership of services in production, including monitoring, alerting, incident resolution and continuous improvement.
• Design services for high availability, resilience and low latency, implementing effective logging, tracing and metrics through platform observability tools.
• Apply secure coding practices, remediate vulnerabilities and support compliance with internal security and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Platform, Security and Engineering teams within an Agile environment to deliver reliable payment capabilities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are in search of a Software Engineer to join our team in Madrid, with the following qualifications and background:

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software development in production environments. (Required)
• Hands-on experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot. (Required)
• Experience designing and developing microservices architectures and REST APIs. (Required)
• Experience working with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL. (Required)
• Experience in payments, fintech or regulated environments. (Preferred)
