You'll contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from designing and building solutions to code reviews, testing and deployment. This is a strongly Python-focused backend engineering role. We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about Python development and has hands-on experience building Python-based applications and frameworks. Based in Madrid, you'll work as part of multidisciplinary project teams supporting clients across different industries and locations. Client locations may vary depending on the project and business requirements. All reasonable travel and accommodation expenses related to client work will be covered. Develop and maintain high-quality Python applications and services. Build solutions using Python-based frameworks, such as Django, Flask, Kedro or similar. Work with SQL databases, including writing queries and managing data. Contribute to the deployment and productionisation of new and existing products. Collaborate with engineers, consultants, data specialists and client stakeholders.

4–10 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python.

• Strong, hands-on Python development experience — Python should be your primary programming language.
• Proven experience developing applications using Python-based frameworks.
• Experience with Django, Flask, Kedro or similar frameworks is highly relevant.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Docker or Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
