Job summary

Ormco is seeking a Software Development Engineer as part of a global Spark software team that enables the design and manufacturing of Spark Clear Aligners. You will work on acquiring raw dental X-ray scans and processing them into 3D models using machine learning.

The role is based in Madrid with a 4x/week onsite requirement, collaborating with an international cross-functional team to design, implement, and test features for desktop and console applications that generate patient anatomy from

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in C++ development.
• Experience in application development.
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, such as SOLID, YAGNI, and KISS.
• In-depth understanding of Agile development principles, with proven experience in Agile teams.
• Experience writing robust unit tests and end-to-end tests, including mocking external endpoints for both new and legacy codebases.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Work on solution design and implementation for new features in desktop and console applications used to generate patient anatomy from scans.
• Contribute to feature refinement and plan releases and sprints with product managers in an Agile team.

Job description

Software Development Engineer is part of large global team supporting our Spark software that enables designing and manufacturing of Spark Clear Aligners. Software Development Engineer will work on the initial part of the process- acquisition of raw dental X-ray scans and it's processing into 3D models using machine learning algorithms.

Main Tasks

• Working in distributed international cross functional team a developer will help the team with solution design and implementation for new features in desktop and console applications used to generate patient anatomy from supplied scans.
• Being a part of agile team we expect a developer will contribute to features refinement working closely with product managers as well as will help development team with planning features to upcoming release and sprints.

This role is based in Madrid with 4x/week onsite requirement.

Job Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

• MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in C++ development
• Experience in application development
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, such as SOLID, YAGNI, and KISS

• Experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React
• Experience with GitHub Copilot
