FOSSA, headquartered in Madrid with an R&D center in Lisbon, is seeking an application developer to join internal applications, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of internal systems.

You will work in dynamic, agile teams on end-to-end solutions, using Python for data processing, APIs, and integrations. Excellent English and 1+ year of software experience are required; Django/React experience and open-source contributions are welcome.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop efficient, scalable, and user-friendly end-to-end solutions for both front-end and back-end systems.
• Develop and maintain data processing workflows using Python, working with data from JSON, CSV, Excel files, APIs, and databases.
• Integrate with internal and external systems through APIs.
• Provide day-to-day support to application users, diagnosing problems and implementing the appropriate solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development guidelines, system documentation, and end-user documentation.

Who are we looking for?

We are actively looking for an application developer to join our Internal Applications department, contributing to the day-to-day design, development, and maintenance of our internal applications.

We are searching for individuals who know how to work in dynamic, young and agile teams, willing to contribute to the software development cycle for all our internal applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient, scalable, and user-friendly end-to-end solutions for both front-end and back-end systems.
• Develop and maintain data processing workflows using Python, working with data from JSON, CSV, Excel files, APIs, and databases.
• Integrate with internal and external systems through APIs.
• Provide day-to-day support to application users, diagnosing problems and implementing the appropriate solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development guidelines, system documentation, and end-user documentation.

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or Higher Technician Diploma in Application Development, with a portfolio or personal software projects demonstrating practical development experience.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience in data processing, transformation, and automation using Python with structured and semi-structured data formats, such as JSON, CSV, Excel files, and API responses.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical, operational, and user documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently and taking initiative when necessary.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• 1+ years of experience in the software development industry.
• Experience with Django and/or React.
• Experience contributing to open-source software projects.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, GitHub, and automation/deployment in server environments.
