EY GDS Spain in Malaga is seeking a Senior SOC Team Coordinator to oversee operational coordination within a 24x7 Security Operations Center, guiding SOC analysts and ensuring delivery of cybersecurity services for German-speaking and international clients.

You will coordinate daily activities, monitor incident handling, support major incidents, ensure smooth shift handovers, and contribute to playbooks and SOPs.

The opportunity

Are you ready to shape your future with confidence? EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is looking for amotivated Senior SOC Team Coordinator to join our Cyber Defense Center in Malaga, Spain. This seniorposition is intended for a candidate who can take ownership of operational coordination, provide guidance
within the SOC team, and support the effective delivery of cybersecurity services in a 24x7 operationalenvironment for German-speaking and international clients.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you’ll have a chance to extend your knowledge and experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Your key responsibilities

You will support the operational coordination of an international SOC environment, ensure disciplinedcommunication across shifts and stakeholders, and help maintain consistent service quality acrosssecurity operations activities.

• Coordinate daily activities within a 24x7 Security Operations Center.
• Monitor security incident handling, ticket queues, and escalation activities.
• Support the coordination of major incidents and critical security events.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and clear operational communication.
• Support SOC analysts in day-to-day operational questions and prioritization.
• Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of SOC processes, playbooks, andstandard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, service managers, technical teams, and international cybersecuritystakeholders.
• Support reporting, quality assurance, audit-related activities, and service review preparation.

• Sound understanding of IT Security, SOC operations, and security incident management principles.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, at C1 level or higher.
• Good English communication skills for collaboration in a global environment.
• Knowledge of IT Security and Cyber Security principles.
• Understanding of Security Incident Management processes.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or IBM QRadar.
• Experience working with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or comparable platforms.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Awareness of cloud security concepts for Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Basic understanding of threat detection, incident response, ITIL, or security certifications such as SC-200 or CompTIA Security+.
