Job summary

Devoteam is seeking a Snowflake & DBT Data Engineer in Madrid to manage and optimize our data platform for analytics and business operations in asset management. You will ensure high availability, secure access, and efficient data pipelines across the organization.

You will develop robust DBT Core projects, create reusable macros, and oversee DBT Cloud deployments while collaborating with data engineers and analysts to translate requirements into optimal Snowflake schemas and models.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT to manage and optimize data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and data modelling capabilities.
• Experience with data governance, security, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage Snowflake environments for high availability and performance.
• Perform DBT testing on Snowflake and maintain robust DBT models.
• Configure Snowflake Tasks to orchestrate data pipelines and automate jobs.
• Administer Snowflake accounts, roles, policies, and usage monitoring.
• Develop and maintain DBT Core projects with robust transformations and data quality checks.
• Create reusable DBT macros and promote consistent coding practices.
• Oversee DBT Cloud deployments, environments, jobs, and run configurations.
• Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into Snowflake schemas and DBT models.
• Monitor data pipelines using platform logs and metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement remediation.
• Implement data security and governance controls including masking policies and audited data sharing.
• Coordinate with infra and apps teams to integrate Snowflake/DBT with enterprise tools.
