Eurecat - Centro Tecnológico in Spain is seeking a SLAM & Autonomous Navigation Researcher with a strong robotics software background. The role emphasizes SLAM, localization, multi-sensor fusion and autonomous navigation on AMRs, agricultural robots and other platforms.

You’ll work on NSM-based perception, planning and mission execution across ROS/ROS2 pipelines. Applicants should bring hands-on experience with LiDAR, cameras, IMUs and GNSS-denied environments, and be proficient in ROS/ROS2, C

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in robotics, CS, automation or related fields.
• Strong background in SLAM and localization, sensor fusion.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and navigation pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Hands-on validation on real robots and sensors.

Responsabilités

• Develop, integrate and maintain SLAM, localization and navigation software.
• Adapt software to different robots, sensors and environments.
• Integrate perception-driven navigation and mission execution.
• Implement global/local planning, reactive navigation and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, GNSS and wheel odometry into navigation stacks.
• Analyze and improve performance with datasets, simulation and real-world tests.
• Contribute to R&D projects, reports and publications.
