Eurecat Technology Centre in Catalonia (Barcelona area) seeks an Applied Research Scientist in Robot Learning and Manipulation for the GRAIL European flagship project. The role is permanent, hybrid, and focused on turning foundational AI methods into robust robotic capabilities.

You will work on imitation learning, foundation models for robotics, and human-robot collaboration, with real-world validation on hardware and industrial use cases, bridging research and practical deployment.

Formación

• Strong academic background in robotics/AI or related field, ideally Master’s/PhD or equivalent research experience.
• Experience with robot learning, manipulation, embodied AI, or AI-based perception/action.
• Good programming skills in Python and ability to work with real robotic systems.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to applied research and development in imitation learning, RL, and foundation models for robotics.
• Integrate and validate AI methods on real robotic systems and simulations.
• Work on human-robot collaboration and manipulation in industrial environments.
• Publish scientific results and contribute to project deliverables and demos.
• Collaborate with European partners on a major robotics project.
