Job summary

Technica Engineering Spain is seeking a Test Engineer in Vigo to support the development and validation of our internal simulation framework and toolchain for automotive network systems.

You will design, implement and execute automated tests with Python and C/C++, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with Agile teams to ensure quality and drive innovation in cutting-edge automotive and telecommunications technologies.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics, Automotive, or related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++ and software testing concepts.
  • Knowledge of network technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP) and automotive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development and maintenance of the internal simulation framework toolchain.
  • Design, implement and execute simulation scenarios for automotive network systems.
  • Support deployment and customization of simulation environments per project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using Python and C/C++.
  • Participate in network testing and validation activities, ensuring quality and performance.
  • Analyze results and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation and validation reports.
  • Integrate testing activities within CI/CD environments.
  • Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Support customer projects involving network simulation and validation.

Technica Engineering is a technology company specialized in the development, validation and verification of software and electronic solutions at the automotive sector. With a strong focus on technologies like Automotive Ethernet and the development of ECUS, we bring technical consulting services in areas like ADAS, on-board networks, getaways, and comfort and security functions.

We are currently offering a permanent position as Test Engineer based in Vigo, Spain, as part of the continued growth of our technical team.

You will play a key role in supporting our roadmap by contributing to the development and validation of our internal simulation framework and toolchain for automotive network systems.

You are the ideal candidate if you have a strong technical mindset, experience in software testing and quality assurance, and a passion for automation and simulation. Experience with Python and/or C/C++, CI/CD, Git and GitLab, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies, will be highly valued. We are looking for an autonomous and communicative professional with a strong commitment to quality, continuous learning, and the development of innovative technological solutions.

Job Requirements
What are we looking for?
  • Professional experience in the automotive, telecommunications, or software development industry.
  • Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics, Automotive, or a related technical field.
  • Good programming skills in Python, C++ and/or C.
  • Experience or knowledge of software testing or development.
  • Good understanding of network technologies and communication protocols, such as Ethernet and TCP/IP.
  • Ability to work in a technical environment with a structured and quality-oriented approach.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
Nice To Have
  • Experience with simulation frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and GitLab.
  • Experience with automated testing and test framework development.
  • Experience with embedded software development, vehicle development, or validation processes.
  • Knowledge of HIL/PIL simulation and ECU testing.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and communicating results to internal or external stakeholders.
What will your tasks be?
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our internal simulation framework toolchain.
  • Design, implement, and execute simulation scenarios for the validation of automotive network systems and communication technologies.
  • Support the deployment and customization of simulation environments according to project and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions, scripts, and validation tools using technologies such as Python and C/C++.
  • Participate in network testing and validation activities, ensuring compliance with quality and performance requirements.
  • Analyse test and simulation results, identify issues, and collaborate with technical teams to drive problem resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and validation results.
  • Contribute to the integration of testing and validation activities within CI/CD environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Support customer projects involving network simulation, testing, and validation, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge automotive and telecommunications technologies.
